Thank you to every one who helped out at our tabling event today! Your volunteering is much appreciated. Thank you also to all who came to our table to see what the Ospreys for Life are all about! We hope to see you for our first Fall 2012 meeting. :)

First Fall 2012 Meeting: Tuesday August 28 from 7:30pm-9:30pm in building 39/room 1009.

We cannot wait to kick off this year with y'all! If you cannot attend this meeting or other Tuesday night meetings, please feel free to email us (email can be found at the right of your screen) with any questions.

Bring a friend or two! The more voices we have to speak for the babies, elderly, disabled, the more lives we can touch and the more lives we can save.

Albert Einstein said, "The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about it."

As of today, Ospreys for Life is an officially recognized UNF club! Together, we will educate and activate our selves and fellow students on our campus to do something about the dangers in this world.

The most dangerous place for a child to be right now is in the womb. Many disabled and elderly people are in danger of being euthanized and/or neglected simply because they are not valued as valuable, cherished human beings. Let us not allow these dangers to continue, especially on our campus!

The times of our meetings have changed! We will meet on Tuesdays from 7:30pm-9:30pm. Place is TBA, so please keep your eyes peeled here as the meeting days approach.

Our first meeting is to be held on August 28, 2012 from 7:30pm-9:30pm. Room will be announced here as the date approaches!

We have two weeks until our first meeting. Spread the word and encourage your friends to come! The more, the merrier; and the stronger we are together! :)

Event: Painting Women's Help Center

On this Saturday, July 28 at 11am, some of the Ospreys for Life will be helping volunteers paint a Women's Help Center on University Ave., right down the road from UNF!

If you have some free time, please give some of your time to sprucing up this pregnancy center. Mother-helping centers are crucial to help mothers choose life. Mother-helping centers are run by volunteers and donations, so the more help they can get, the better! And the more lives that can be saved from abortion!!

Notice: Fall 2012-2013 Meeting Schedule!

This fall, OFL general meetings will be hosted every other Tuesday night at 7pm-10pm. The first meeting will be on August 28, 2012.

At these meetings, members will be educated and activated to bring the culture of life to UNF! Our mission (as can be seen at the top of the screen) is to protect and cherish life from conception to natural death. When standing for life, there is nothing to fear. What do you have to lose? Join us every other Tuesday this fall to learn what you can do to save lives and restore a culture of life!

I would like to introduce our slogan!

"Live Life. Defend Life. Cherish Life."

Short. Sweet. To the point.

As pro-life advocates, we are called to defend and cherish the voiceless: the pre-born, disabled, elderly, and any and all lives at stake from any other form of abuse.

Being pro-life is not just who we are, it's how we live

Welcome to the official Ospreys for Life blog!

With this site you can stay updated with the latest news and events from OFL!

You may be wondering, "Who is the girl creating this site?"
I am Lily Swarts. I am the president of Ospreys for Life for the 2012-2013 year. During this year I will be a sophomore continuing to study Civil Engineering.
I founded OFL this past February of 2012. I am so excited to bring the culture of life to UNF with y'all! I have been a pro-life activist since I was 12 years old. I am attending the National Right to Life Academy in Washington D.C. for 5 weeks this summer learning to become a more effective, knowledgeable pro-life activist. Protecting life at all stages is my passion and my mission.
